music from all over the world and from all times played live and presented on record, always in free dialog with still and moving images.
Published in 1935 in New York, The Secret Museum of Mankind is a mysterious book. With no author, credits, numbering or table of contents, it is a compilation of 994 photographs representing peoples and cultures from all over the world and intended for the voyeuristicenjoyment of the exotic. At the end of the 1990s, by the hand of Pat Conte and Yazoo Records, The Secret Museum of Mankind was reborn as a series of compilations on CD, reissues of dozens of 78s os music recorded in the most disparate and remote areas of the globe. In 2010, The Secret Museum of Mankind came to life on stage.
