Tape Junk & Pedro Branco

Bolero is a album of stories based on real events with the ingredients of a good blockbuster: broken hearts, poignant skepticism, a drunken hope on the randomness of meetings and missed chances.

Proof of this was the beginning of this partnership, between the difficult sip of that second whiskey and a friendship that was waiting to happen. The songs are now available, waiting to be heard, because they have been lived too many times.

Tape Junk is the real-life character of the guy who is João Correia.

His albums tell intoxicated stories of made-up cowboys and a life that didn’t ask to happen. But he, as long as you’re here, at least you can try something in between the fortuitous and the self-proclaimed misery.

Pedro Branco is a guitarist from the outskirts of town wio may look suburban, but has lot of outsider life in his fingers.

He started playing in garage bands, moved along to jazz and now finds himself in neutral territory, trying to find a life between outlaw songs and unabashed lyrics.

Between the two, they’ve worked with people as distinguished as Jorge Palma, Fausto Bordalo Dias, Lena D’Água, Tiago Bettencourt, Bruno Pernadas, Benjamim and many others.

From those distinguished people, they took some money and the opportunity for name-dropping in bios, but also of a lot of life and experience to better understand what they themselves have to say.
