Inês Sousa makes her solo debut with Mikado
Inês Sousa — she of Mais Alto!, of Gato Pintor, of Tipo and Afonso Cabral’s bands, of Julie & The Carjackers — has finally released a solo record. Mikado came out in late 2025
Mikado is, for good reason, full of radio hits — it was an Antena 3 record —, beginning with ‘Tornado’, which was followed by ‘Paraíso’, ‘Carne Viva’, ‘Ainda’ and ‘Guerra Fria‘, which has a cinematic video by Ricardo Reis.
Inês Sousa begun 2026 as one of the guest authors of the Portuguese Song Fetival, performing ‘Um Filme ao Contrário’, which she also wrote.
