Inês Sousa makes her solo debut with Mikado

Inês Sousa — she of Mais Alto!, of Gato Pintor, of Tipo and Afonso Cabral’s bands, of Julie & The Carjackers — has finally released a solo record. Mikado came out in late 2025

Mikado is, for good reason, full of radio hits — it was an Antena 3 record —, beginning with ‘Tornado’, which was followed by ‘Paraíso’, ‘Carne Viva’, ‘Ainda’ and  ‘Guerra Fria‘, which has a cinematic video by Ricardo Reis.

With her foot on the gas, Inês Sousa comes into 2026 as one of the guest authors of the Portuguese Song Fetival, where she’ll performing ‘Um Filme ao Contrário’, which she also wrote.
