Francisco Fontes has just released his sophomore album, Capotar
A keen observer of the smallest details, he released his debut Cosmopolita, in 2023, a standout for Super Bock Super Rock radio, which was highlighted by Novos Talentos Fnac.
Cosmopolita was performed live at Musicbox and ZDB, in Lisbon, as well as Cuca Monga Festival, among other venues and events. On April 2024, Francisco Fontes played outside his home country for the first time, with two shows in Milan.
As a drummer, between 2020 and 20250, Fontes has played with Miguel Marôco, Celso, Península and Zaratan. He also released a song with A Sul, in 2024, ‘Caminho e Meio’ recorded live at Cossoul and another wth MALVA, ‘rajada’, part of her 2025 record poros.
2026, beyond the release of Capotar, which happened live at the Casa Capitão, in Lisboa, will always be remembered as the year Fontes starred in the RTP Festival da Canção, as both writer and performer of his song ‘Copiloto’.
