Having opened in late 2023 louva-a-deus is a recording studio that doubles as a rehearsal space, and that has proven vital as a music creation hub and meeting point for artist and other workers in the Portuguese music scene.
Artist of all genres and generations in Portuguese music, from Samuel Úria to Sérgio Godinho, from Márcia to Luísa Sobral, from Vitorino to B Fachada have been in working at louva-a-deus – as well as many international acts passing through Lisboa.
Beside the big live room, with its charismatic baby grand piano, there are two spacious control rooms in the studio.
Louva-a-deus also records podcasts, audiobooks and other audio formats , which can be complemented with video, in one of our undeniably photogenic rooms.
Louva-a-deus is in Sete Rios, close to the zoo, in a calm area of Lisbon that is filled with friendly neighbourhood restaurants and cafés – and very easy to reach by public transportation. Under the same name, it's a production company and record label for independent music.
